Senior Electronics Developer – Space (m/f/d)

Build electronics that push beyond Earth’s limits

You’ll lead safety‑relevant space hardware from first concept through verified, flight‑ready design, collaborating closely with specialists across systems, design, testing, and qualification teams. If complex engineering challenges excite you and you enjoy turning demanding requirements into robust, highly integrated electronics, this role is for you.

Your Tasks

  • Develop concepts through to production of highly integrated electronics, in line with the applicable Space hardware development processes
  • Define and coordinate the hardware architecture in close cooperation with system design
  • Perform requirements analyses
  • Conduct design analyses and simulations
  • Implement and support hardware design and testing activities
  • Maintain design documentation and reporting
  • Participate in key technical decisions
  • Act as Hardware Lead Engineer (e.g., ensure project-wide conformity of hardware development with requirements and design standards)

Your Profile

  • Completed technical education (e.g., HTL) or a university degree in embedded electrical/electronics engineering
  • 7+ years of experience in electronics development (e.g., circuit design, layout, testing), including at least 2 years in space electronics development
  • Solid understanding of system requirements
  • Knowledge of space standards (ECSS) is a plus
  • Team player with a solution-oriented working style
  • Proficiency with EDA tools (e.g., Pulsonix, Altium Designer, LTSpice, HyperLynx, or similar)
  • Very good English skills; German is a plus

We provide an attractive and performance-based salary, which is based on your qualifications and professional experience. This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for Employees in the Metal Trade ("Kollektivvertrag für Angestellte Metallgewerbe") and we offer a minimum salary of € 66,000 gross per year. Actual compensation can be well above this standard.
