Senior Test Infrastructure Architect (m/f/d)
Are you passionate about test architecture and automation for embedded avionics systems? In this role, you will lead the end-to-end test automation architecture across system, software, and integration levels, designing and continuously improving automated test benches and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) environments. You will develop test automation frameworks (Python) and support standards-compliant verification of the test infrastructure, working closely with system and test teams to ensure testability, timely delivery, and continuous improvement including CI/CD integration.
Your Tasks
- Lead the overall test automation architecture across system, software, and integration levels
- Coordinate the build-up and continuous improvement of new test systems
- Design and develop automated test benches and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test systems for avionics and space projects
- Design and develop test automation frameworks
- Support the verification of the test infrastructure according to relevant standards
- Act as the interface between Test Infrastructure-, Systems- and Test- teams, ensuring early involvement for testability and timely delivery of test systems
- Support debugging and root-cause analysis activities
- Drive continuous improvement of the test infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD integration
Your Profile
- Technical degree (TU/FH) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar
- 3-5 years of experience in test system design for embedded avionics systems, including hands-on software and system testing
- Hands-on expertise with avionics HIL systems and automated test environments
- Strong Python skills (object-oriented programming and scripting) for test automation
- Experience with NI hardware (PXI, SLSC, …) and tools (e.g., LabVIEW, …) is a strong advantage
- C Programming skills are an advantage
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a quality-first mindset and attention to detail
- Reliable and committed team player with an independent working style
- Strong communication skills in English; German is a plus

We provide an attractive and performance-based salary, which is based on your qualifications and professional experience. This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for Employees in the Metal Trade ("Kollektivvertrag für Angestellte Metallgewerbe") and we offer a minimum salary of € 57,000 gross per year. Actual compensation can be well above this standard.
