TTTech, the technology leader in robust networked safety controls, partners with Cisco, the world's leading networking company, at Cisco's Internet of Everything Innovation Center, named openBerlin. The goal is to accelerate the adoption of the key enabling communication technology "Deterministic Ethernet" for advanced solutions for Industry 4.0 / the Industrial Internet of Things (IoT) in the manufacturing and transportation industries.
At the openBerlin Innovation Center, announced by Cisco on September 17, TTTech and Cisco intend to develop and showcase Industry 4.0 solutions made possible by Deterministic Ethernet, the cross-industry communication technology based on upcoming IEEE 802.1 Time-Sensitive Networking standards.
For TTTech this innovative collaboration with industry leader Cisco represents another important mile-stone for the broad adoption of its robust network technology "Deterministic Ethernet" for the real-time Internet of Things. TTTech customers are already deploying Deterministic Ethernet based on TTTech's highly robust TTEthernet® communication protocol for innovative networked control solutions in a broad range of upcoming applications including space vehicles (NASA), piloted cars (Audi) and wind turbines (Vestas).
With the strong trend towards Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things, manufacturing and transportation companies are requesting technology vendors to build safe real-time control platforms on open yet secure networking solutions. Cisco and TTTech are responding to these needs, by offering solutions that enable great internet connectivity and security while guaranteeing critical real-time communication and safety on the same physical network infrastructure.
