The topic of safe and secure automation and autonomy, as well as the collaboration within and between ecosystems ties in with our “Joint Impact” initiative that is part of our anniversary campaign #IMPACT25. Looking beyond one's industry segment is always a good approach to gaining a broader perspective and discovering new insights.

As onboard computing power increases and the distance from Earth becomes greater, spacecraft will become even more autonomous. This shift has a significant impact on the skillsets required from astronauts. What remains unchanged, however, are the most important skills: Teamwork and international collaboration!  

#IMPACT25 Panel: Safety in human space flight – the astronaut’s perspective We are entering a new era of human space flight. As humanity prepares to return to the Moon and even set foot on Mars, many commercial endeavors in space are also on the rise. One central concept that makes all of this possible is safety. 

Renowned computer scientist Professor Hermann Kopetz is one of the co-founders of TTTech and the architect of the Time-Triggered Technology that lent the company its name. In 1997, one year before TTTech took up operations, he published his ground-breaking work “Real-Time Systems: Design Principles for Distributed Embedded Applications”. The book is now being used as a standard text at universities all over the world and went into its third edition in 2022.

8 March is International Women’s Day. In line with our anniversary campaign #IMPACT25, we wanted to explore the IMPACT of women on our company, our industry, and the world of science and technology in general. So, we asked our employees for their perspectives on the following questions:

AI may be taking over more and more routine tasks in the future, but we will always need ideas – developed by humans for humans. That’s why the Vienna Business Agency has created the “Erlebnisraum” – a dedicated space in Vienna where children of all ages and social backgrounds can learn how to develop their ideas, using science and technology.

In 2023, TTTech celebrated its 25th anniversary. In celebration of this milestone, the company launched a year-long campaign, titled #IMPACT25. The goal of the campaign is not just to celebrate past successes, but to look into the future.  Most importantly, we ask what we can do in the present to shape the next 25 years. How will we live and work together in a society that is becoming increasingly automated and digitalized? What will our business models be?
