To kick off the campaign, the TTTech co-founders and senior leaders gathered for a live stream to talk about the campaign theme, the origins of the company, present challenges, and the future of safety, automation, and AI. Watch some highlights from the stream below.
The campaign
In his opening statement, TTTech CEO and co-founder Georg Kopetz explained the campaign theme, the idea behind #IMPACT25, and offered thanks to customers, partners, and employees.
The past
TTTech was founded in 1998 as a spin-off of the Technical University of Vienna and the opening discussion was dedicated to the company's academic roots. Joining this panel were the TTTech co-founders. Prof. Hermann Kopetz, his son, CEO Georg Kopetz and Stefan Poledna, Chief Technologist and CTO of TTTech Auto. Prof. Kopetz dove into technical concepts and explained the origins of the visionary technology behind TTTech’s early products. The co-founders reminisced about the first time they met and how the idea to start a business took shape. Joining them, COO and Executive Board Member Manfred Prammer shared a few anecdotes about joining TTTech as employee number four.
The present
TTTech wouldn’t be here today without its strong vision, loyal customers, partners, and employees, including its strong leadership team. Co-founder Stefan Poledna explained why safety is at the center of TTTech’s technology and how its context is changing with present challenges in off-highway machinery, autonomous mobility, and AI. Chief Performance Officer and Executive Board Member Werner Köstler, shared how TTTech’s vision first piqued his interest and how he came to join the company almost exactly a year ago.
The future
The goal of #IMPACT25 is to envision the future, so it comes as no surprise that a large part of the launch event was dedicated to upcoming trends and innovations. Artificial intelligence is clearly here to stay. Chief Technologist Stefan Poledna offered a cautious glimpse into the expected revolution caused by AI, and how it will make systems more autonomous. Manfred Prammer then went on to illustrate what full autonomy would mean for the off-highway industry.
One of the greatest challenges facing future generations is climate change. Georg Kopetz illustrated how TTTech’s digital technologies could be harnessed to reduce CO2, for example by supplying and distributing renewable energy. Finally, CPO Werner Köstler offered his perspective on the movement from the Internet of Things to the “Internet of Everything” and what it would mean for TTTech’s customers and technology users.
As Georg said in his welcome address: the future is created in the present. We are excited to take you on this year-long journey and look forward to creating IMPACT together.
