About me
As Principal Scientist, my role in the Labs entails technical leadership and project management, providing support to our corporate units addressing the needs of customer projects as well as planning strategic product development. My areas of expertise include advanced scheduling methods for safety-critical and predictable distributed systems, real-time and networking concepts, like quality-of-service (QoS) and timeliness analysis. I am often involved in the process of capturing and analyzing requirements leading to appropriate levels of modeling abstractions and system characterization.
Parts of my work have culminated in scientific publications and new inventions extending the company's IP portfolio.
Complementing my duties in the Labs, I am grateful to maintain an active role in the academic community, either as author* or taking different organizational roles.

I graduated in Computer Engineering from the University of Balearic Islands, Spain, and since 2010 I hold a Ph.D. (Doktor der Ingenieurwissenschaften, Dr.-Ing.) with honors (Magna cum Laude) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Technische Universität Kaiserslautern, Germany.
During my studies, I visited the Mälardalen Hogsköla, Sweden, with an Erasmus Mundus scholarship, and I was shortly affiliated as a research assistant at the Mälardalen Real-Time Research Centre (MRTC). Later, I joined TU Kaiserslautern to pursue my PhD at the Chair of Real-Time Systems. In between, I had the pleasure to visit the Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF), in Niteroi, Brazil, as invited researcher.
